GOODS VEHICLES (CARRIER A AND CARRIER C)
- Application for Individuals and Sole Proprietorships / Sole Proprietorships and Partnership Business Companies; eligible to apply for a maximum of 2 sets of licenses only either 2 sets of vehicles (2 Prime Mover and 2 Trailers) or 2 licenses (rigid) or 1 set of vehicles (1 Prime Mover and 1 Trailer) and 1 license (rigid). While Private Limited Companies (Sdn Bhd) has no limit on the number of holdings
- The Accumulated / Working Capital Requirement (operating) is 30% of the price of the vehicle to be purchased.
- There are service requirements and have a transportation contract.
- The validity period of the license does not exceed 5 years.
- Local Authority approval for parking lots and stops / terminals.
- Free of summons from JPJ, PDRM and CVLB.
- The weight limit of licensed vehicles is subject to the Weight Limit Restrictions specified in the Weight Restrictions Order 1989 (Amendment 2003) for Carrier ‘A’ and Carrier ‘C’ Trucks.
- The applicant is required to submit a certified copy of the Director’s Resolution to obtain the confirmation of the Check Signatory.
- Transfer Ownership:
- Individual licenses can be transferred to the immediate family, namely the spouse and children. For other family members will be decided by CVLB based on merit.
- Letter of Offer of Approval (STK) is not transferable.
- The change of company ownership from Bumiputera to Non -Bumiputera is not allowed.
TAXI / CAR RENTAL
- Application for Individuals and Sole Proprietorships / Sole Proprietorships and Partnership Business Companies; maximum only 1 Taxi or Rental Car license only. There is no license limit for Private Limited. Company or Limited
- The Accumulated / Working Capital Requirement (operating) is 30% of the price of a new vehicle.
- The validity period of the license does not exceed 7 years for taxi and rental car license classes while 5 years for executive taxi license classes, luxury taxis and rental and drive cars.
- Local Authority approval for parking lots and stops / terminals (except for individual taxi / rental car license ownership).
- The applicant is required to submit a certified copy of the Director’s Resolution to obtain the confirmation of the Check Signatory.
- Transfer Ownership:
- Individual licenses can be transferred to the immediate family, namely the spouse and children. For other family members will be decided by CVLB based on merit.
- Letter of Offer of Approval (STK) is not transferable.
- The change of company ownership from Bumiputera to Non -Bumiputera is not allowed.
BUS
- Application for Individuals and Sole Proprietorships / Sole Proprietorships and Partnership Business Companies; maximum only 2 licenses only (total number of license classes) except for School Bus license.
- The Accumulated/Working Capital Requirement (operating) is 30% of the price of a new vehicle.
- The validity period of the license does not exceed 5 years.
- Local Authority approval for parking lots, stops / terminals and routes.
- The applicant is required to submit a certified copy of the Director’s Resolution to obtain the confirmation of the Check Signatory.
- Transfer Ownership:
- Individual licenses can be transferred to the immediate family, namely the spouse and children. For other family members will be decided by the Commission on merit.
- Letter of Offer of Approval (STK) is not transferable.
- The change of company ownership (equity ownership) from Bumiputera to Non -Bumiputera is not allowed.
- Applicants for express bus, stop bus, mini bus and shuttle bus licenses are required to submit a Market Study which includes justification of requirements, route map applied for along with other operator license information (Company name, number of licenses / number of licenses) operating on the same route.
- Foreign equity ownership in the ownership of public transport service licenses is not permitted except for tour buses.
- Application for ownership of high -tech public transport licenses, foreign equity ownership is allowed up to 100%.
